We’re getting lots of rain, which is great for the garden. Not so great for drying washing.

In the vegetable garden – I’m still harvesting carrots and parsnips but can’t use the lettuce fast enough and it’s going to seed. Boo hoo. The corn is getting taller and the beans are flowering. Sweet basil, coriander, rosemary and thyme are all thriving. Lovely.

In the flower garden – still lots of cosmos, cornflowers and a few beautiful poppies. Pots overflowing with petunias in pink, red and purple.
